firstly after selecting the picture, adjustment of the level of line.

adjust the level until the picture are clear enough to see.

use the quick selection tool to select the sky and the light bulb to color with.

there are 2 type of tool you can select, magic wand that randomly select similar part and the other one is quick selection where there is a minus and a plus sign where you can use it for any shape that you wanted to use. Press Shift W u can change from magic wand to quick selection tool and for quick selection tool, press Shift or ALT to plus or minus your selection.

then use brush tool to color the sky, I uses the biggest size of brush tool to color because it wont have darker area after i painted it.

and the tiny road light.

as well as the space below the bridge.

quick selection tool to select the stone one by one and then color it.

after adding the color in every space in the art work, i started to add filter in it. In this screen i uses fresco filter for the sky.

as for the water below the bridge I uses the plastic wrap filter to make the painting looks more like liquid.

and for the shadow of the bridge i uses color pencil filter as it is more suitable for the murky

Corridor
I use the quick selection tool to select the sun and then use ornament 3 brush with a mixture of red and yellow to form the color of the sun.

I use the same brush and uses a mixture of grey and brown to form the color of late afternoon environment
after coloring all the empty spaces, i added different filter into it so it will look more realistic. For example in this screenshot i added craquelure texture to make the artwork look more like bricks.

Visual Treatment
i) Reference Artist : Paul Klee
ii) Art Movement : Cubism
iii) Theme Chosen : Environmentalism
iv) Ideation & Concept : Pollution is getting more serious this days. Thinking back about the past, when there are not much factories around and when night falls, the sky is full with stars as bright as diamond and the air is very fresh and cooling. The concept of this artwork is to show out the natural environment before pollution affected our lives.

Windmill
Ideation & Concept : wind energy is a renewable energy, although its reusable, there are still not many country using this energy, so this artwork is trying to tell audience to use renewable energy because natural fuel like petrol are depleting. other than that natural energy like wind, sun, water wont causes any kind of pollution.
Corridor

Ideation & Concept : this artwork is to tell viewer to know how serious pollution now days are,  the dark gray sky shows that the air are polluted with toxic gas and the wall started to bleach because of the acid rain and green house effect.

Introduction
Why i choose this topic because i feel that now days people are facing lots of social problem in their working environment, lack of communication among family member because of the usage of gadget , and also (air, water, sound pollution). Therefore in this series of sketching Im trying to show people on how nature can be calming without all those negative issue.

Problem statement

History of Cubism:

Cubism was a highly influential visual arts style of the 20th century that was created principally by the painters Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque in Paris between 1907 and 1914. The Cubist style emphasized the flat, two-dimensional surface of the picture plane, rejecting the traditional techniques of perspective, foreshortening, modeling, and refuting time-honored theories of art as the imitation of nature. Cubist painters were not bound to copying form, texture, color, and space; instead, they presented a new reality in paintings that depicted radically fragmented objects, whose several sides were seen simultaneously.

Perceptual VS Conceptual artwork

Perceptual art can be define by stimulation of sensory, in other meaning that an artist create an art work through its sensory what he or she feel like drawing or creating  for example like optical illusion, 3D arts. The art work must be understood by the mind through sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. Other than that, for different individual they see perception art might be different from one and another, this is because each individual have different perceptual on how they think of the art .

Conceptual art, the idea and the concept of an art work is the most important aspect of the work or what the artist "thought". After a artist develop a concept "thought" for its art work, planning and decision is a must and are made beforehand. In other hand artist need to be creative on their thought to create an conceptual art work.

Started my foundation in Arts as a student in Help on 2010 and now pursuing my first year degree on Bachelor of Communication (Marketing Communication). I'm not an artistic person but willing to learn from the start to improve my skill on arts and also design and hope to create something from what I have learn from Intro to Design.

So that’s something about me to start with, certainly looking forward to my Intro to Design courses and learn more from it that might come in handy in the future.
